Set up your workspace
Create your organization, define its direction, and connect its AI employees.
Create your organization
Sign up and complete the onboarding screens with your profile and organization details. Use the name your team will recognize. Add a profile photo and company logo if you have them. The company-direction setup adds a vision and one measurable goal, so the first employee has a clear outcome to work toward.
The person creating the workspace is its Owner. An invited Admin or Member joins an existing organization; they do not need to create a second one.
Connect the software that runs AI employees
A first-time Owner connects a harness and selects a model before starting the onboarding conversation. Hive currently supports Codex through a ChatGPT connection or an OpenAI API key. Follow the authorization screen and approve only the account you intend to use.
A connected harness is different from a connected business tool. It lets the AI employee run; it does not automatically give the AI employee your email, documents, or customer records.
Begin company setup
The shared Chief of Staff helps with company knowledge and shared connections. The goal-focused onboarding design also prepares an employee for your first measurable goal. Use its conversation to clarify the work and required connections before relying on the result. This redesigned flow is still being verified before release.
You can describe the company in your own words or attach useful documents. Remove information the AI employee does not need. An attachment provides context to that conversation; do not assume it has become shared knowledge for everyone.
If setup is interrupted
Finish an outstanding authorization in the provider's screen. If a connection fails, use the connection controls to retry. Never paste passwords, session cookies, or API keys into an AI employee message.
